May 15, 2020- Update to Families
In an endeavor to maintain total transparency, we will continue to post general information related to any positive COVID-19 cases, or if any resident suffers a COVID-19 related death, along with communications, resources and new or revised policies on our website.
One additional positive COVID-19 hospitalized resident case has been identified on this date. We are delighted to report that 7 of the previously reported positive cases are confirmed by diagnostic testing to be recovered from COVID-19. Furthermore, all 15 staff members who had tested positive have recovered and returned to work. Presently we have 5 positive COVID-19 cases residing in the designated area on the 5th household. These residents remain on strict isolation and consistent staffing protocols are in place. All four households of the building remain under quarantine and we continue to receive and utilize CDC recommended PPE.
We are in review of questions our families have submitted via email to COVID19info@kirkhaven.com. Individuals submitting questions will not receive individual direct responses to their questions. We are committed to providing weekly FAQ updates on our website and recommend you look to our website for answers to your questions.
Please understand our clinical team are unable to take COVID-19 emergency management plan questions by phone or direct email as our staff must prioritize their attention on resident direct care needs.
